The Grief Support Ministry is designed to facilitate the grieving process and the healing of the heart and soul of those who experience the loss of family or loved ones.

TUMC will be sponsoring its Spring Support Group series on "Loss of Spouse" at 7:00 p.m. in the church library beginning March 24. Griefshare materials will be used The group will meet on the following dates: March 24, 31, April 7, 14, 21, & 28. Please call Dianne Nash at (434)525-3206 or the church office at (434)239-1348 if you are interested in participating. There is no charge and the series is led by Joycelyn Arthur and Helen Lawrence who have experienced this loss.
Our Grief Support Team also has the "Grief Ministry Resource Center" located in Room 29 across from the sanctuary. This center provides literature to help individuals deal with all forms of grief. Topics include coping with grief from death, cancer, Alzheimers, and many other topics.
Our team of volunteers offer support through a card ministry, visits, educational materials, encouraging phone calls, lending library, and bi-annual support group sessions.
Loved ones can be memorialized through donations to the grief ministry at TUMC or a book gift to our lending library.
Volunteers are welcomed to join our committed grief team members who have traveled the journey of grief.
