I don’t know about you, but I am still on a high from Easter Sunday. The day was glorious. Everything from the music to the prayers to new and old friends to the weather proclaimed the glory of the resurrection of Jesus. I thank God for all of it.
I want to remind you that Easter is not just a day, but a season. And resurrection is not just a historic event and a future promise, but also a present reality.
So let me encourage you, Where do you see signs of new life? What is the Lord doing in you and in the lives of the people you love?
Remember the words of the apostle Paul…
Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
May the resurrected Lord be with you, now and forever.
