Happy Father's Day

I am aware that Sunday is Father's Day in America.  So let me take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Father's Day and shout out to all the Dads out there.

No person is more important in a child's life than a father.  I am grateful for my Dad, his love for my Mom, the way he raised me and my brother and sister, and the example he has shown me when it comes to following Jesus.

The good news for all of us – whether we've had great Dads or not – is that God is our Heavenly Father.  And like any loving Father, he will guide and comfort us, provide and protect, and take care of us.

Remember the words of Jesus from his Sermon on the Mount:
"Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?  If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!" -Matthew 7:9-11

With gratitude for the Father's love,

Pastor Brad
