So, how about you?
So, if you’ve read our devotions the last two weeks, you’ve been challenged (hopefully) to grow your faith and make more room for God. We pray that God has, through His Holy Spirit, shown you behavior and reactions that are contrary to His intent and will.
We are so wrapped up in our lives – who we are, what we think, what we do, what we want, etc.. that we often squeeze God out of our day-to-day realities and relegate Him to an hour of acknowledgment on Sunday. And yet, God still reigns and interjects Himself into our realities in “buts” and makes our paths straight.
We can make our plans,
But the LORD determines our steps.
So, how about you? Do you have the courage and faith to pause next time things don’t go as planned and thank the Lord, in faith, that He is and will use this challenge for your good and to draw you closer to Him?
It’s incredible to think that He loves me. Me, as an individual in 2022! Think about it - the God of eternity and all creation thinks about me and purposely, determinedly interjects Himself into my day-to-day to draw me closer to Himself!
Dear God, we cannot comprehend how much you love us, nor what you have in store for us, your children. Thank you for being a patient teacher. Forgive my stubbornness and rebellion. Teach me humility – that the best can only be found in you – your plan, your will, your way, and not in myself. Thank you for Jesus, your Son. Who lived a life of example – obedience and surrender to your will as His Father. In His name, we pray. Amen.
