Jesus is always better than anything else. Today we will look a little deeper into the Tabernacle and how Jesus is the perfect Tabernacle.
Hebrews 9:11 NIV
But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation.
Have you ever used a business’s services and seen a way that they could be more efficient or provide better service to you, the customer? Over the pandemic I have watched different grocery stores adapt to more hands-free systems to serve their customers. These curbside services have aided in the ability to more efficiently serve shoppers while aiding in the attempt to socially distance from one another. The store adapted in order to maintain customer satisfaction and sales.
God has been in the business of relationship with humanity since the first breath God breathed into Adam and Eve. However, we as His greatest creation, have been terrible in our return to God’s continual attempts to love us.
God provided the Tabernacle as a temporary dwelling place and then the Temple of David as the same. These great buildings of antiquity are used by God to show us the need for a more permanent structure; an everlasting “tent”. The previous tents of the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies are now a “perfect tent” in Jesus Christ. This is a tent “not made with hands, that is, not of this creation”. Read Hebrews 9:11 again.
In Jesus is found perfection… this should lead us to the heart of worship.
Come, Holy Spirit! Let me see the beauty of Jesus as the perfect place of worship. Allow me to worship with all that I am in spirit and truth!
