FAQ
Have questions? We have the answers!
We are located at 21649 Timberlake Road. Lynchburg, VA 24502. Our church building is beside Arby's restaurant and across the street from Blue Ridge BBQ restaurant.
Our Traditional Worship is at 9 AM in the Sanctuary. Our Modern Worship is at 10:30 AM in the Family Life Center.
If you are attending our Traditional Worship, you can park in the front of the building near the digital sign (you will see flags and signs to direct you). If you are attending our Modern Worship, you can park in the back parking lot, near the TUMC KIDS blocks.
Absolutely! We have Treehouse Kids during worship for ages 2 - 5th grade. Children will learn the goodness of God, pray with each other, and play together while parents are attending our 9 AM or 10:30 AM worship. Nursery is available for children under the age of 2.
Children will need to register. The Children’s Ministry benefits when parents register their kids in advance.
Thank you for your commitment to the safety and well-being of our community. Here is what we are doing to continue to keep us all healthy and safe:
- Masks are optional, but we encourage the Christian spirit of placing the health concerns of others before your own.
- Be mindful that the Child Development Center has a set of regulatory guidelines that must continue to be followed.
- Continue to ask that anyone who has COVID symptoms consistent with a head or chest cold stay home and participate through our online campus, timberlakeumc.org/online/
- Continue to ask those who catch COVID to follow the Center for Disease Control and local health department guidelines on quarantine and masking
We have people dressed in jeans, we have people dressed in business casual, and we have people dressed in their "Sunday best." Please, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Whether you are brand new to church, or you grew up going every Sunday, you have a place at Timberlake. You’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with excellent music and a thoughtful, relevant message during weekend services. Our mission is to reach, feed, and release people to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We do that on campus and around our local and global community. Our faith has been handed down to us by the Church through the Holy Scriptures, the creeds, our music, and by the lives of Christians throughout history. We have roots in the Protestant Church and share a common history and doctrine with United Methodists all over the world.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
Your kids will have a blast at Timberlake! There are kid programs from infant-5th grade where they will learn all about living a God-first life and having fun while doing it!
WE LOVE TIMBERLAKE
"We found our church home at Timberlake about 12 years ago after our church closed it's doors. Immediately, we knew we belonged! We got involved in children's activities, and the Serve Team. We love being a part of this team. It's a great way to meet people. And we love meeting people while serving them at the coffee bar.
My favorite thing about Timberlake is the loving, caring attitude of the people. I also have been blessed with so many friends and prayer warriers from my Life Group (L.I.F.T. - Ladies in Fellowship Together). John and I were so blessed by these ladies during our recent surgeries! Praise God for TImberlake!"
